These were just some of the comments made by delegates following the 2007 Influence Men’s Conference hosted by Dr Jerome Anekwe.

Dr Anekwe’s mandate for the conference was to inspire those who attended to become men of influence - men who are determined to lead their families, serve their church, transform their communities and impact their world.

Dr Ramson Mumba, Founder and Senior Pastor of El-Shaddai Ministries opened the conference on the Friday evening by challenging the delegates to pursue excellence in every area of their lives. This was a ‘no holds barred’ message which set the tone for the whole weekend - as one attendee commented afterwards, ‘the general sessions were timely, relevant and openly and honestly dealt with real issues.’

Guest speaker Pastor Paul Brady from Living Rivers Church in Ballymena, Northern Ireland ministered powerfully on the theme, ‘The Positive Man in a Negative World’ in the Saturday morning session and this was followed by a range of inspiring and practical workshops addressing topics such as entrepreneurship, parenting, impacting the community, living a life of service and having a ‘can-do’ attitude.

Dr Anekwe brought this year’s incisive conference to a close by setting out key principles for ‘Becoming a Man of Influence’. This empowering Saturday evening session ended with a Holy-Spirit-charged time of impartation and prayer which set the seal on the whole weekend.

There is no doubt that for those who attended, this truly was a conference that left a mark that can never be erased.
