Chaplins Panto – Jack and the Beanstalk
15th December 2007
Once again El-Shaddai Bradford opened its doors to children and families from the local community to enjoy some good old-fashioned fun, courtesy of Chaplins Pantos. This year, the show was Jack and the Beanstalk and once again the members of the audience were transported to the magical setting of Pantoland to meet the hero of the tale, Jack and all his friends.
Packed solid with comedy, excitement and adventure, children of all ages enjoyed cheering young Jack and booing the evil Mayor Botchett. They roared with laughter at the antics of Barmy Bosworth and Dimples the cow, as they tried to get the better of the comic Dame, Mrs Lumpkin.
The El-Shaddai Christmas Panto looks set to become a not-to-be-missed annual event, giving children who might never have the opportunity to attend a professional theatre, the same experience on their doorstep, at a fraction of the price.
