Dear Parents,
Gifts of Wisdom, Revelation and Discernment
As our children grow older they make more and more decisions without their parental influence. It is not easy as parents to let go and let them make their own way in life but it is only natural that they should do so. The bible says “if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” James 1:5. We can believe God for our children no matter what age they are we can pray that the gifts of wisdom, revelation and discernment flow through their lives and that they have an ear to hear their heavenly father when He speaks to them. We can be confident that our Father in heaven gives only good gifts and that he will direct our child’s steps. We cannot live our lives for our children but as they step out into the big wide world we can cover them in prayer they may be in the world but they are not of the world!
Please pray this prayer with me:
Heavenly Father I thank you that you are watching over XXXX and directing his steps. I pray that you give him the spirit of discernment and the gifts of revelation and wisdom. Help him to see that these things are hidden in you and that you give them freely when we ask for them. Lord show XXXX how to discern between good and evil. I pray that XXX hearkens to your voice that you show him the way most perfect and that he walks in it! Your Word says that gaining wisdom and discernment brings long life, wealth, recognition, protection, enjoyment, contentment and happiness. We thank you Lord that our children walk in these things in Jesus’ name.
This month’s confession comes from Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding”.
With every blessing
Mark & Hannah
